Profession: Painter | Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Laurie Anne Gonzalez lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband Taylor and their sweet puppy Hazel. She works out of her home kitchen studio. When she’s not in her studio, she loves traveling, reading, binge watching TV shows, and snuggling with Hazel. You can also find her work at Juniper Print Shop. If you want to learn Laurie Anne’s techniques, she even offers online courses!

What Inspires Your Work?

My work is inspired by my travels around our beautiful planet!

What Are Your Favorite Mediums And Tools To Use?

Acrylic paint and watercolor are my favorite mediums!

What Is One Word You Would Use To Describe Your Studio Space?

Central (its in my kitchen and in the heart of our home!)

What Is Your Favorite Thing About Your Studio Space?

I love the way the light floods my studio! I also love how central it is to everything.

What Are Three Items In Your Workspace That You Can’t Live Without?

My glass palette, my Ikea cart that holds my water and paper towels and my paint!

What Does A Day In The Life Look Like For You? What Are Your Daily Habits?

I am an early riser and spend the first few hours of the morning snuggling my puppy, Hazel and catching up on some emails while watching a few episodes of TV! I love my morning ritual. I usually start working at 9:30 am.

How Do You Practice Self-Care Throughout The Day?

When I need a break, I take it. I know my limits. But when I am in the groove, I paint as long as the daylight will let me! I don't let anything get in the way of a good painting groove!

How Do You Store Your Artwork?

This is tough. I live in a really small house and so I either lean them on one another stacked in our spare room or hang them on a wall in a gallery wall set up!
