Every Shade of Prismacolor Pencil I Own

I love cataloging my art supplies colors because I know how helpful it can be. The guides online are hard to find and rarely match the actual colors the product provides. I’m a strong proponent of avoiding the preset packs of colors and buying only the shades I need, which is why accurate color guides are so important to me.

Today I’m sharing every shade of Prismacolor colored pencil I own in celebration of this month’s theme - color. I hope you find a new color to try. Prismacolor colored pencils are the perfect medium to use over gouache or watercolor, if you’re looking to add more texture to your work.

While I usually take a minimalist approach to art supplies, I have quite a few colored pencils because they’re easy to store. Some of the shades below I use all the time and others I’ve barely used at all.
