My 10 Favorite Paintings from 2022

I’ve gotten in the habit of doing this post every year. Identifying what I like about my favorite paintings helps me to refine my own unique style. I also love the idea of summing up my art in preparation for next year.

Usually I do this post at the end of December. However, since my print shop has been so busy, I’m fairly confident I’m not going to be producing more work this year.

As is usually the case, my favorite paintings are not the crowd favorites. A few of them are, but not the majority. They are more the paintings where I felt like my style evolved. Where I pushed my skillset outside my comfort zone, and it just worked.

Below are my 10 favorite paintings from this year. I’m curious, which one is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below!
